Aim: Development, Process Improvement, Interface Management
Length: 2-3 days per unit (6-12 months)

3) Team Reactivation
Aim: Reconditioning, Solve Conflicts
Length: 5-10 days (12 months +)

4) Project Analysis Workshop

Aim: Conclusion & Evaluation
Length: 1-2 days

1) Team Kick-Off & Team Event

Team Kick-Off Events enable a great project start. The "Kick-Off" can be combined with a team building event including outdoor elements. Regardless of the project nature it is useful to conduct a team building event should the team be permanent.

Team building events serve as "key experience" that give internal support. It is the ideal source from which a team draws. The aim of a team building event is the recovery of the team spirit. Team building measures are separate events.

Focus: Project start, formation of trust, motivation, cooperation, fun.

Focus Groups: Existing work groups or newly appointed groups, teams or departments who are missing an internal identification.

Possible approach:

  • Establish values and rules
  • Clarify team authority
  • Establish borders/limits
  • Formulate roles of group members
  • Define the group function
  • Allocate "work packages"
  • Set the target
  • Define team members
  • Define partial group size
  • Compare mental maps
  • Communicate bonus system
  • Adapt information system
  • Adapt education system
  • Define resources

Team building workshops are mostly short-term events (2 days) and incorporate outdoor elements. It comprises most importantly the joint experience and mastery of out of the ordinary challenges.

Sailing:

With regards to team building you will learn to sail and manage to cope on minimal space.  We introduce you to the world of navigation and sailing technology. A team will build itself on the water - regardless if it is on inland waters or the ocean. We offer both.

Common Sports:

The simply things are sometimes the most powerful interventions. With our teams we go biking, walking, hiking or go on a joint run through the woods.

2) Team Development/Process Improvement

Through developing your team you strongly improve the cooperation within your team on a professional level. This saves time and avoids frictional losses. We will take a look at developing the different capabilities of each individual participant. The areas of development will be evaluated in a preliminary talk and trained in one or several steps. Often the way from a low or medium performing team to a high performing team is rather long.

An important aspect of team development is the improvement of processes as well as the business interfaces within a team.

Focus: continuous improvement of performance, improvement of interpersonal relations.

Focus Group: teams that go through a long-term development process.

Possible approach:

  • What is the aim of the team?
  • What are the responsibilities within the team?
  • What goes well? What does not go well?
  • What processes need to be more explicitely defined?
  • At what interfaces does information get lost?
  • Does our execution strateggy go into the right direction?
  • Can we assist the development of the team members? Can we better share our knowledge?
  • Do we have full committment of the team? How can we encourage motivation?

The team development will be strengthened by outdoor trainings and management trainings.

3) Team Reactivation

A special way to develop a team is team reactivation. It includes solving serious conflicts within the team and putting the team back on track. This takes time.

Focus: Improvement of interpersonal relations & performance

Focus Group: Teams that are no longer functional

Possible approach:

  • Division of powers within the team
  • Give personal feedback
  • Rules & task division within the team
  • Performance improvement of the team
  • Personnel change in the team
  • Communicative dysfunctions/misconceptions

The adequate measures take place outside of the organisation. This helps the team to focus entirely on itself.

4) Project Analysis Workshop

The finishing project workshop does unfortunately not belong to the standard team development. Here you can profit from the learning experiences of each team member and deepen your own learning experiences. Learning will be learnt. A climate of openness and valuable knowledge can be transferred into subsequent projects.

Focus: Improvement of product quality, process optimisation

Focus Group: Teams that have completed a project

Possible approach:

  • How do I feel?
  • How did I experience the team?
  • What have I/have we learnt?
  • What were strengths and weaknesses of the cooperation?
  • What will we change in the future?

This workshop can take place at the organisation and should be combined with a team event.
